Advances in Geothermal Direct Use Workshop
Matching Low-Temperature Geothermal Resources to End-Use Demand
March 18, 2015
The Colorado Collaboration for Subsurface Research in Geothermal Energy, Colorado SURGE, is hosting a free workshop on Advances in Geothermal Direct Energy Use.
The goal is to bring together experts to discuss panel topics that include:
- Geothermal Direct Use Potential
- Geothermal Direct Use (Net Zero Energy Campus, Commercial Buildings)
- Geothermal Direct Use Barriers and New Technology (Deep Direct Use)
The objectives of the workshop are to capture insights on the state of geothermal direct use and the challenges that constrain the pace of direct-use deployment, and to identify the overlay of geothermal resource and end-user demand. The outcomes from this workshop will be documented and distributed to all workshop attendees.
Colorado SURGE is a Collaboration of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Colorado School of Mines.
Who Should Attend
The Workshop will benefit geothermal direct use and heat pump experts and other stakeholders interested in research in this area.
